This week has been a hectic week for me as it is the last week of the June vacations. I have been on my projects and have been checking my projects time and again, making sure that everything is in order before I hand in. This week is also the week I rushed my friends for the project details and information so that I could finish my projects.
I have just finished checking all my projects and making sure that everything is in order. Fortunately, I managed to finish my literature project today. However, I had difficulties finding a shop that provides binding services. I counted myself lucky when a guy from one of the photo shop told me that his friend provides binding services, which was just across the road. I found my way there and the shopkeeper told me she was supposed to close at two o’clock. I arrived at three o’clock; she told me that she could not finish her work so she opened the shop till she is done.
I counted myself really lucky, as many shops are not opened in Sundays. After that, I made my way to my grandmother’s house. It was a wide spread for today. As my parents had food poisoning, they could not eat fried food. We abstained from those foods by not cooking them but eating porridge. I felt that this week is not a good week to pass at all as I was deadbeat.

Third Post of the June Holidays
This week can be considered a happy and a sad week for me. The reason is simple. It is simply because I had my worst cry in this week as well as the best day in this week. I had my councilor camp this week. It was a three days two nights camp. It lasted from 11 June to 13 June 2007.
It was a fun experience at the councilor camp. There were lots of fascinating games organised by the seniors. It is also the time that I realized that the secondary four seniors are stepping down due to the preparation for their major examinations. In the camp, I learnt lots of new games that I had never played before. During the first night, we went for a night hike at Changi Beach. Some of our group members had to be blindfolded and we took turns to be blindfolded. The other group members had to lead the blindfolded people and this led to the trust we should have in our friends. It is actually team bonding.
On the second day, we went on a heritage tour where we found out about the historical places in Singapore. It was the time I found out how unique Singapore is. I remembered the time when a foreigner asked me what Singapore was known for. I simply replied that I did not know. This experience have made me realized that I have been wrong all the while. I had lots of fun walking and visiting many places in Singapore.
In the night, due to the rain, we could not have our campfire. Instead, a night walk in our school replaced it. It was not scary at all as I had already prepared myself for the walk. We were being blindfolded and we had to hold on the string and walk on our own. Many people around me disturbed me. However, I remained strong except for some incidents I thought that made me cried. Everyone thought that I was afraid. I explained my troubles to Mr Paul and these troubles had already followed me since the first day I entered this school.
Later, Mr Tan spoke to me for about one hour and he advised me not to torture myself because of other people and it was not worth it at all. Thank you Mr Paul and Mr Tan! However, these troubles were my personal troubles and have not been let go at anyone. I hope that you will not disclose my personal troubles to anyone. I am really grateful to them for supporting me when I was down. It was my worst cry that night.

Second Post of the June Holidays
This week had been a hectic week for me. I was running up and down like a mad dog. However, I felt that this week had allowed me to work up my stamina in sports because I moving vigorously and not lacing around. It is indeed a fruitful week for me.
Most of the time, I was not at home all the while and spent my days going for tuitions and running out to do errands for my mother. My great grandmother had been admitted to the hospital and we were all worried for her. Hence, my grandmother and mother would have to visit her everyday. I, as the oldest granddaughter, will have to take over all the duties of cleaning the houses and fetching my younger sister and cousin. Fortunately, I have only one cousin and sister to look after. I spent my days fetching them from school and bringing them to eat. Sometimes, I would cook. However, they did not like my cooking. I felt really disappointed at times.
I had to manage my time well for this week. I had to do my homework, look after my cousin and sister, clean the house and running errands for my mother. I am exhausted and glad that this week is over. Hopefully, my great grandmother will recover fast and be discharged or else the next week will be another hectic week for me.

First Post of the June Holidays
I had lots of fun this week. On Wednesday, we had the mother tongue cultural camp. There was a mixture of Chinese, Malays and Indians. In the morning, we had our own culture games in our respective places.
For Chinese, we had external vendors coming to our school and teaching us the art of China like calligraphy and rice drawing. In the process of learning, I realized that the Chinese culture is somewhat identical to other races. For example, rice drawing part of the Indian culture. There was a technique to everything that we did.
The first activity of that morning was paper cutting. We folded the paper into our favourite shape and started cutting from wherever we wanted. My work piece came out with a star in the middle and with diamond shapes covering the sides of the star. I had lots of fun cutting it especially when the cut paper flies out after cutting. People in China used to paper cutting and hanging them by the door.
Later, we did calligraphy. We used the paintbrush and drew lots of pictures. However, I drew only the fishes and water plant moving around it, as we did not have much time. After the tea break, we had rice drawing. We used the toothpicks and put our drawing together. There were lots of different colours. It took up a lot of our time. As I was impatient, I poured the rice onto my drawing and used the toothpick to put it in order. It did not turn out nice. However, I did not mind at all because I just wanted it to be presentable.
After lunch, it was the time for the different races to gather together for multi-racial games. There were rice ball making, speaking in different languages, paper cutting etc. We had to get into groups of 9 and each group must consist of Chinese, Malays and Indians. We formed our group in no time and gathered together to get prepared for the game. It was really exciting and thrilling. We started our games. I had many chops as I did well and some chops are because of my friends. I am really thankful to them for helping me. It is really a friend in need and friend indeed. I tried my best to complete all the chops but I could not. I was left with two chops. I submitted my score sheet and was surprised when I got the second. My best friend cheered for me. I was really elated upon receiving the prize. It was the best day in my whole week although I was wearied out during this week.
